Cassie has been at Mathom House since September 2015. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a concentration in counseling from East Stroudsburg University, and proceeded to earn her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Holy Family University. She obtained her certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in July 2016. Cassie’s previous experience includes providing individual, group, and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults who were victims of violence and trauma, specifically sexual assault and abuse. She also worked in the public school setting providing additional support to students with Autism and other developmental disabilities to help them succeed and manage behaviors in an appropriate way. Cassie has residential counselor experience providing group therapy and case management services to adults with severe mental illness and/or substance use issues. She is a trained and certified Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) facilitator. She is trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) which is utilized heavily at Mathom House, and she also co-facilitates our Traumatic Stress Group.
